A love story, still in confusion whether it was one or not:
The new generation, every moment demands something which is new as well as adventurous. They always look forward to unexplored areas full with surprises and with internet posing as a key to fulfill all their wishes and desires,it has become a basic necessity in the life of these Tech Addicts. With internet having an immense potential of accommodating anything to everything right from the games to social sites to discussion forums to e-books to movies to songs, more and more people are now getting attracted towards this virtual world, spending almost half of their day's time with it. Nowadays social websites and G-talk are on a boom. A center of bringing all kinds of people together, letting them stay connected, talk, chat and understand each other in a better way, thus these sites capture a significant market share of the e-business and play a major role in the Gen-x love stories too, some ending on good notes while some just remaining as a question in minds of people.
Aisehi mile Ashutosh aur Richa, who unknowingly got their contacts shared through a common Google group.
Both of them had nothing in common except for the fact that both were pursuing the same courses, though from different places. Ashutosh, a focused, sincere and decent boy, was a student of MBA -2005 batch from HEL(L) whereas Richa, talkative yet sweet and cheerful girl, was a same batch student of ICFAI.
With a shared contact, initially both of them used to chat but used to limit their chats to the regular reports being posted at the Google group. Gradually, they became more comfortable with each other and thus the frequency of chats also increased which extended to a couple of informal topics. Topics like life, career, future plans, family and love made thier place in their regular report discussions which drew them closer with each passing day. Knowing each other better everyday, both of them started feeling they’ve met their Mr. /Ms. Right.
Ashutosh, being a person who used to give a deep thought before every step of his, wanted to give this feeling some more time so that he gets sure about what he felt and realize that he really was in love with Richa, on the other hand, Richa dinn wanna wait for long. But the only problem was her contradicting feelings. On one side she felt as if THIS was the man she was searching for years.. a person who had it all she wanted in her guy.. a person who was decent, smart, intelligent but yet down to earth n the most important thing- loving and understanding.. one who knows how to make her smile even at her worst times. On the other side of it, she was very emotional.. dinn wanna get hurt at the end so the only thought that came to her mind was how can she open herself to a person she never even met. Kya kare wo – keh de ya nahi?? she was in a Big Dillema.. finally she decided to hold on and let Ashutosh make the first move.
1 year passed, they both still used to talk; however, the topics changed a lot over the year with more emphasis on their summers and placement preparations scheduled in the next semester. Dheere dheere, as they moved out of their summers and got more involved with their studies, ashutosh stopped talking, as in where he used to chat for 1 whole hr, now was available only for 5-6 mins. Initially richa thought it was a result of the course and placements pressure. Thus, not giving it much of a thought, she also focused on her placement and got through ICICI Prudentials ltd. Eager to tell ashutosh about her placement, she called him but there was no reply. Thinking him to be busy, she went online. Saw his status as available, and asked why dinn he answer the phone call, yet again there was no reply.. She waited; trying to make her understand that he might have struck in a serious problem as he never used to behave like this earlier and will reply as soon as he gets free. After 3 days she again pinged, but again there was no reply. All kinds of thoughts, from him being not well to him playing a prank all along, started coming to her mind. In a struggle of trying to provide her a reason logical enough and most importantly, the one that satisfies her. As a result, she started getting irritated. She just wanted to talk to him one last time..one last time for comforting her restless thoughts.. for making her understand why is he doing so..just once to tell him that she loved him.. and that she loved him a lotttt.. she even dinn know what did ashutosh feel about her.. did he love her/ or even liked her.. she started doubting every moment she passed with him, every word he used to say about them.. she cried that day.. she cried her heart out for a stranger.. a stranger who came like a wind, made her feel good and then left her all devastated (can she say so, he never even said a word.. she cant even accuse him for cheating on her).
Days, months, years passed… He comes online every day even today but no word is exchanged between the two. The silence prevails..She still waits that some day the man will miss her..Someday he will be back into her life.. Senseless it is, she knows.. but still she waits.
This small incident brought many changes in her life, a once called sweet and cheerful girl, now remains quiet most of the time lost in her own thoughts, there are no friends in her life now..After what happened, she even fears to talk to strangers or lets say now she strictly limit her talks to her work requirements..Work is all that matters for her now.. for everything else, she’s dead.
